(Received May 7, at 7.10 p.m.) In the House of Commons Mr Winston Churchill, replving to questions regarding the dumping of Continental goods in order to avoid the M'Kenna duties, said he anticipated some increased importation, but he would not hesitate to seek the authority of the House to antedate the operation of the duties if his revenue estimate showed signs of excessive importation. In the meantime the Customs was keeping a careful record of all importations with a view to collecting the duty retrospectively if such a source voro necessary.—Reuter.
