UNIVERSITY CHRISTIAN UNION.
The “Face the Facts” campaign, at present being conducted by the Otago University Students’ Christian Union, is awaken-, ing increasing interest. The speakers have centred attention on the fact of Christ and of the impact of Christ on human life. They pointed out that men may question the way in which Christ’s principles are applied to the problems of life; they may question at times the attitude of the Churcn as a whole towards some of those problems ; they may find flaws here and there in churchgoers and in church life, but there is one fact that stands supreme. It is Christ experienced and known in the laws of men. There is the dynamic that empowers people to face difficulties to strive against temptation, and to struggle for righteousness. That these statements are true of life, is, they maintain, evidenced by the unquestionable facts of history. Mon and women, communities and nations, have been and are empowered and purified by Christ. Along those linos the speakers so far have appealed to men and women to recognise the power of Christ in human life. The, meetings yet to bo held will further develop these ideas.
