APPEASING BRITAIN’S DISGUST. HUGE CONCESSION NEGOTIATED. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 5. Advices from Riga state that, with a view to appeasing England's disgust at Communism, the Soviet Government has signed one of the largest concessions ever negotiated at Moscow, returning to the British stockholders in the Lena Goldfield Company their properties in Siberia. The Soviet is not demanding a percentage of the profits, and is not insisting on the emplo ( vment of Soviet experts. The concession will be operated on a - royalty basis, and the company will bo permitted to engage labour free of Government control.—A. and N.Z. Cable. LEASING NATIONALISED UNDERTAKINGS. IMPROVED CREDIT FACILITIES. RIGA, May 5. Advices from Moscow state that at a meeting of the Supremo Economic Council M. Djorzhinsky (Commissar of Industry) stated that the Soviet Government had decided to lease to their former owners nationalised undertakings at present not working or which are running at a loss ; also the banks had been instructed to grant the owners all credit facilities on terms similar to those enjoyed by State undertakings.—Reuter. CO-OPTING TROTSKY. REPORTED MOVE AT MOSCOW. LONDON, May 5. The Berlin correspondent of The Times says: “A wireless from Moscow reports that tho triumvirate (St'hn, Kamcncff, and Zinovieff) is transforming itself into a directory of four co-opting Trotsky. Importance is attached to the report since it, was broadcasted through a Moscow station which is officially controlled. —The Times.
