NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STRIKE GENERAL, hospital,' water AND LIGHTING RATES IN HE BOROUGH OF WEST HARBOUR. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the West Harbour ' Borough Council, pursuant to the powers vested in it by " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, will, at an Ordinary Meeting of^ 0 “" c 3 i? ~ held on the 2nd day of JUNE, 1925, Make and Levy the following Rates for the period commencing Ist day of April, 1925, and ending the 31sfc March, 1926 —viz. 1. A General Rate, under Section 77 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of 3id in the pound {£) on the Unimproved Value of all Rateable Property within the Borough of AVest Harbour. 2. A Lighting Rate, under Siection 88 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” of Sixpence (6d) in the pound (£) on the Annual Rateable Value of all Property within the Ravensboume, Rothesay, and St. Leonards Wards. 3. A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate, under Section 41 (Sub-section 9) of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1910,” of 6d in the pound (£) on the Annual Rateable Value of all Rateable Property 'within the Borough cf West Harbour. 4. Water Rates, under Section 02 of '‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,’’ in respect of the Ordinary Supply as follows —that is to say; Upon all Lands and Buildings to which water is supplied, the Rateable Value of which on the Valuation Roll does not exceed £l2 10s, a Rat© of Ten Shillings (10sl; exceeds £l2 10s, a Rate of One Shilling (Is) in the pound (£) on such value; upon all Lands and Buildings to which water can be, but / is not, supplied, situate within 100 yards of any part of the water-works, and upon all buildings used as stores, or warehouses, or for any purnose other than as dwelling-houses, a Rate of One-half the Rate above-mentioned. The above Rates are payable in one sum, and in each case, on the 25th day of June, 1925, at the Office of the Borough of West Harbour, Rothesay, and the additional charge of 10 per cent., provided for by Section 23 of “The Rating Amendment Act, 1910,” will be imposed on all such Rates which shall remain unpaid after the 14th dav of December, 1925.
