MIXED TRAIN BREAKS DOWN. {Tee United Pekss Association.) WELLINGTON. May 6. An accident happened on the railway line last night about a mile south of Paekakariki, which held up the trains for some hours. A mixed train had just started the ascent of the hill, when the axle of a truck broke. Two carriages and a truck were derailed, but, fortunately, there wore only three passengers aboard, and none was hurt. A heavy rain was falling at the time, and fts it was found Impossible to clear the line promptly the trains had to be brought each side, and the passengers exchanged. The limited express did not get away till after 11 o’clock.
