"THE DIGGERS" PIERROTS

The New Zealand Divisional Piorrot3 repeated their clever and original entertain-V;-'nt to another crowded audionco at His Majesty's Theatre last night. The music and tho comedy which go to make up most of tho programme both reach a very high standard, and tho show is as cloan as it is fresh and bright. "'Tho Diggers" have a splendid orchestra and several exceptionally lino voices among them, and their experience is such now that tlivy have little left to learn in the arte of the stage. Not ono of the 18 varied items presented last night failed to win honest and hearty approval, and eoveral of the pieces aroused leal enthusiasm. . The unaccompanied quartet singing of Exton, Proctor, Perkins, and Simpson was ono of the outstanding successes of tho first, part, while in tho second part " The Leave Train" sketch was an exceedingly clover piece of comedy, and Lawson and Perkins wen? recalled again and again for their charming rendering the " Wild Thyme " song and dance. It will bo welcome news both to thoso who havo soen " The Diggers" already and to those who have not that they are paying a return visit to Dunedin next week, and intend to appear at His Majesty's Theatre again on Thursday evening.
