ANNUAL REPORT. 15° twelfth annual report of the Ihmedin Sabbath Schools' Union states that owing to there being three Sunday afternoon meetings on the programme, the executive has not met bo often during the past year. The meetings held were well attended and important business was transacted. The syllabus for the pact year was notable for two new departures, viz.—three Sunday afternoon gatherings and two demonstrations by the newly formed Beginners' Primary Commit too. Tim Sunday afternoon meetings were pronounced successes. The first was held in the St. Clair Sunday School Hall on Sopiemiv ' A ' ?I Kvards of 70 delegates, ineluding thoeo from other denorrn n&tiona bonig present. The second of these meetings u;ae held m Maori Hill School Hall on lebruaiy ,16,1919, when over 70 were pro??iV was » St. Stephen's Hull on May 11, 1919, when the attendance was again m the vicinity of 70. Altogether tho experimciit was quite successful, and no doubt it vrill be tried • again. The Be gianero' Prirmvry Committee, or which Hiss J.irysdale is convener, was to have been reeponsible for two demonstrations and oonforonccs. The fust was fixed for Summer Show week, but it bad to be abandoned. r .Phe second demonstration and; conference was held on Juno 5 in tho Moray Place Con-rca-tional Sunday School Hall. A very large number of prizeo for • , n ® r . Assembly's examination and the unions Scripture memory examination wero presented. Owing to the increased cost of hooks the • increased number of prizeß, and the state of the union's fiaaiices, the co-manit-eo reg.otted that tho books presented were not- m good as it would have liked them to >e. lho whole question of finance, especially m reference to prjzes, will require to be seriously oonsidcrod by tho incoming executive, .there are 61 schools in the Dunedin Presbytery an increase of two from last year; number of teachers, 676 (100 males, 516 females)—an increase of 37 from last year Number of scholars: Boys, 2793: girls, 2805; totaa, oßbtS—BJl mcreaso of 236 from last year; average attendance, -1221 A succcseful Rugby and Soccer football t<nnS£t w.i s held on the Oval on September 2a Testing irom Caversluim, Anderson's Hav St Stephen's, St Clair, North-East 7r .u y 'v I"" 1 Musß f. ,bar gh> Kensington.
