REPATRIATION BOARD.
The following applications for assistance were with at a meeting of the Otaeo District Repatriation Board yesterday: — Business Loam.—Six applications were received, amounting to £1135. Four, representing £935, were approved, one for £100 •withdrawn at applicant's own request, and one for £100 was Furniture Loads. Fourteen applications amounting to £690, were received, and all were approved.
Transportation.—Assistance to enable a soldier to return, to his pre-war occupation in Sydney was approved. Eleven apprentices applied to have their wages made up to £3. Eight applications were approved, two held over, and one doclined. Two soldiers who are unable to follow their pre-war occupations were placed in new trades, and their wages were subsidised. Four soldiers applied f or assistance to purchase tools of trade. Three wero approved, while one tos held over. Nino applications for assistance in technical and university training were dealt with. Six were approved, two held over, and one declined.
