A WOMAN OF IMPULSE
The fame of Mm©. Lina Cavalieri, th© celebrated beauty and singer, who will be seen here in her latest Paramount photoplay, "A" Woman of Impulso," at th© Empire Theatre to-day, is international. Kho has been declared to be the most beautiful woman on the stage, and the secrets of her beauty have been sought in every quarter of the globe. Tho story js that of the daughter of a poor lacemaker, Leonora, who js possesoed of a beautiful voice, of which she makes little use, except on raro occasions. It is on one of these occasions, however, when Mr and Mrs Stuart, wealthy American tourists, see her and offer to adopt her. Leonora's mother dies, and as she refuses to bo separated from .her gister, Nina, the Stuarts give the sister a homo with them in Paris. Leonora's voicc is cultivated,, and later she becomes the greatest prima donna and idol of Paris. Count Nerval, a Spanish nobleman, falls in love with Leonora, but she refuses to marry him,, because of his jealous disposition. After considerable persuasion, Nerval wins Leonora, and thoy become engaged. It is at this juncture that Phillip, his handsou?e ,^ m . crncan °o*rein, appears on the scene, and he instantly bccomes infatuated with Leonora. Fearing Phillijj's influence over tlvo girl, Nerval forces his attentions upon her, and before she has a chance to change her mind they are wedded. Prom this point onwards tho plot thickens, and after a number of adventures and misunderstandings, Leonora and Nerval are re-unitod on a basis ol full and complete understanding.
