NEW YORK, July 25. (Received July 31, at 0.5 a.m.), The New York Times Washington corr©spondent states that despatches from official sources in Tokio say that Mr Bara (Prime Minister) told a representative of the Kinsikai Party that if the disturbances continued in China Japan might be compelled to take suitable measures to protect Japaneso interests.—A. and NZ. WASHINGTON. July 25. (Received July 31, at 0.5 a.m.) Mr Karsni Debuchi, the Japanese Uwrge d , Affaires, had a conference with the Assistant Secretary of State (Mr i-<Hlg). It is understood that Mr Debaehi explained the difficulties which prevent Japan from making a statement on the Shantung question at the present time. A-t the same time if is reported that Debuchi has advised the Tokio Government to make a statement as soon as ijossible — A. and is.Z. Cable. '
