(Received July 28, at 10.45 p.m.) According to the Peking correspondent of the New York Times trouble is brewing on the northern border of China, Rival Chinese generals have quarrelled and their respective armies have clashed at Kirin. It is believed t!ia,t Japanese troops are proceeding to the scene of the hostilities to protect Japanese lives and int-erests. The correspondent adds: A Japanese army is marching to Urga, ostensibly for the purpose of resisting Seminoffs panMongolian movement, but the actual purpose is to subjugate the Mongols.—A and N.Z.
