AMUSEMENTS.

An exceptionally fine film lias been secured by the management of the Octagon Theatre for presentation there this week. It is a picture version of "Sealed Orders,"' which had a. successful record in many places as a melodrama. A cluster of favourite kinema stars arc featured in the film, which is produced in the best manner of, modern kinema tograph art, and the story, which 'concerns the doings of 6pies just before the outbreak of war between the United States and Germany, is as exciting as anyone could wish for. A number of intorestiug pictures arc screened in support. The same programme- is shown at the King Edward Theatre. The Queen's Theatre has been liberally patronis3d lately to see " Her Only Way." The. story told pietorially is interesting and is exceedingly well presented. The acting of Norma Talmadge and Eugene O'Brien loaves nothing to be desired. The latest chapter in tho "House of Hate" •serial is shown in conjunction with "Her Only Way." A most interesting drama, "A Daughter of France," featuring Virginia Pearson, is the leading attraction in the new programme at the Plaza Theatre. Tho supporting films include an excellent comedy, and a Mutt and Jeff caj-toon. A film entitled "Society for Sale" at present heads the bill "at Everybody's Theatre. Tho 6tory is founded on the romance of a shopgirl who married for a title, and many interesting incidents are depleted in its course. Included in a pood supporting programme is an amusing Keystone comedy. Large audiences attended all sessions at tho Empire Theatre on Saturday, and the series of pictures on view met with evident signs of approval. "Vivo La France" in the title of the leading dramatic attraction, and tho popular actrass, Miss Dorothv Dalton, appears in tho lcviding role with conspicuous stieceee. Good supports com plete an admirable programme, which, will bo shown again to-day.
