The city tramway services were held up twice on Saturday—for half an hour at 3 p.m.. end for an honr and 20 minutes at 9 o'clock, —on account of tho low steam pressure on ono of the boilers at the tramway powcr-hou?.e. It is allogod that the cause of the trouble was tho poor quality of the coal used. Groat public inconvenience was caused by the stoppages, particularly tho second one, which occurred when a great number of people in town desired to gel homo to Hie outlying districts.
