Patterson, Lycett and Thomas, who will sail from England' on the 26th to participate in the American National .Doubles, will be able to make an excellent showing. Some experts even go so far as to predict that 1 the Australians will sweep the field clean. It is believed that Thomas and Lycett who have been doing phenomenal work on : the European courts, will show better ' results than Brookes and Patterson althought Patterson is considered the best singles player in Australia. lAmerican tennis playefrs place their hopes in Murray, Tilden, Johnson, and Williams, who are now hard at work pre paring; to meet the Australian champions.
