DEMAND FOR BETTER CONDITIONS. f*o»* Ata*>i*U*»—B r T«Usr«.pk— Coprr^i,; NEW YOKE, July 22 (Received July 27, at 11.5 p.m ) A despatch from Tokio states that there is a growing popular movement in Japan demanding more comfort for wage-workers and fewer privileges for the rich. This movement is beginning to command serious attention in Government circles, as well as among representative Japanese in all spheres of life. Tile Japanese Socialists recently requested recognition of the Japanese Socialist Party in a series of manifestoes forwarded to Socialists in many countries. The Italian Socialist Party responded, granting such recognition.—A. and N.z'
