—Mr Landon Ronald has accepted one of the most important musical appointments in Great Britain, the conductorship of the Scottish Orchestra, Glasgow. Tho acceptance of this position involves his residence in GLasgrw for three months every year (from the end of November to the end of February). . His Albert Hall Sunday concerts havo been a big feature in the musical life of London, for several winters and their success has been entirely due to his worH ■•s conductor. During Mr Ronald's absence fc-ir Fredario Cowen has kindly conserved to or him in ins duties as principal at the Guildhall School oi Mtjaio.
