A return received by the Minister of Defence shows that at tho end of May 56,787 New Zealand soldiers had returned to tho dominion, and that 3266 moro rotnrncd during Juno, making a total of 60,053. Of these tho number gazetted out or discharged was 51,578; returned to duty, 1603; awaiting discharge, 3048; awaiting return to duty, 61; under treatment in hospital, 997; in convalescent homes, 301; under treatment as out-patients, 2054.
