Srs, —Tour repoLt this morning of tho torchlight procession to tho Drill Hall last ov'oning gays: "It may bo mentioned that tho display by tho Chinese was largely the result of tho D.1.C." Wo aro requested bv tho Chinese to stato that tlio D.I.C. had nothing whatever to do with their display. Tho kiosk was built entirely at their expenso and decoratod by tho Chincso themselves, who supplied all fireworks at tho threo successive processions and at tho end gavo tbeir kiosk with all its furnishings to bo sold for the bonefit of tho Return-id Soldiers' Building Fund, which was increased as a result by about £50.—"W0 are, etc., G.
