UNVEILING CEREMONY
M.U.L0.0.F. AT PORT CHALMERS. On Thursday evening, in the Druids'-Hall, Port Chalmers, thcro was an impressive unveiling ceremony. P.G.M. Major Fleming presided. Of tho 40 men who had gone to tho front threo were listed amongst tho dead. In a stirring acklmss Major 1 Morning, himself an officer who lias aeon service' pleaded for understanding and sympathy for those men of commissioned and other rank who had returned from tho fighting lino. Humanity had been and is their causa. Toloranoo_ and understanding was tho koynoto of his address. P.P.G.M. J. F. H. Hamel ably seconded th> P.G.M.'s sentiments. P.P.G.M Black igavo some humorous itrarw. Refreshments wero served during an evening which was marked by a peculiar pleasantness of its own.
