AMUSEMENTS.

At tho Queen's Theatre a nicely-selected programme of piotures is now being shown. Chief interest is evinced in a powerful dramatic entitled "Her Only Way," -with Norma Talmadge and Eugene O'Brien in the leading charactera Another papular attraction is episodo No. 19 of "House of Hate." Romance, intrigue, and adventure in the front-lino trenches in France are combined in the new William Fox photo-play, "A Daughter of Franco," starring Virginia Pearson, which play will be shown at tho Plaza Theatre to-day for a six days' run. The action of the play jumps rapidly from the French to tho German lines in France. The story tells m forceful fashion how the German troops acted as they overran fair France, and those who see tho picture will have their patriotism vastly strengthened- and be entertained at the samo time. A very amusing two-reel Sunshine comedv, entitled "Roaring Lions in tho Midnight Express," and cartoon complete an excellent programme. The current programme at Everybody's Theatre has as its hend-liner "Society for Sale,' , in which the principal characters are very ably sustained by William. Desmond and Gloria Swanson. " Tho title of the picture arises from tho fact that the girl buys a place jn society. The story strikes an original line of thought, and quickly develops. It is -a- most interesting drama. I Among the supports is a Keystone comedy entitled "The Iceman's Bride." Tho chief item on the programme at present being screened at the King's .Theatre is a picture drama entitled "North of Fifty-three." This big picturo is centred on life in the Yukon, and many exciting incidents are depicted during its progress. There is an especially good supporting programme.
