Cowie Nich'olls, who has held the position of officer commanding the Otago Military District during the war period, relinquished his duties on Wednesday last. Colonel Macdonald. his successor, who is well known in Otago as officer commanding the Otago Infantry Battalion of the Main Body, has arrived and assumed his new duties. Mr G. W. W. B. Hughes, who for 10A years hae been general secretary of the Dunedin Y.M.C.A., has taken a position on the national staff of tho Y.M.C.'A. Ho is boinjr followed- by Mr V. T. Draw, who for two years has been acting- secretary in Dunedin. Mr Drew lias had 13 years' experience as a Y.M.C.A. secretary in Adelaide. Melbourne. Bcmligo. Ballarat, and Wellington, and three years' American experience in Baltimore and Now York.
