There wore only three deaths in the metropolitan area yesterday. Brisbane reports that the epidemic is dying out, there having been no deaths since the 15th. Melbourne reports a recrudescence, 34 deaths being recorded, including 10 in the country. THREE CASES ON THE BRITON. (Peb United Pkisss Association.) . WELLINGTON, July 24. -lnree influenza cases on the Briton are being transferred to Somes Island, and the steamer berthed.
