Gangs of armed negroes attacked the tramways throughout the city, and cavalrymen, infantrymen, and police nave been called out.—A. and N.Z. Cable. CITY PATROLLED BY MILITARY. SHOOTING NEAR WHITE HOUSE. WASHINGTON, July 2L (Received July 23, at 0.5 a:m.) Shooting occurred a short distance iron White House, where the' President wa& lying ill.
