THE VETERANS' HOME.

(Per United Press Association.) NAPIER, October 10. His Excellency the Governor arrived by the express train last night to inspect a piece of land offered as a site for the Veterans' Home. (From Oue Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, October 12. The object of Lord Ranfurly's visit to Napier is to inspect a site that has been offered to him for the Veterans' Home. This is th'e second site that has been offered to him in that district, and as there has been no otter of a site from Auckland, tho chances of a home being established at the latter place seem somewhat remote.
