The Bohemians have declared the Archduke Franz's son the lawful heir to the throne of Bohemia, where the Hapsburg law does not operate. The Archduke is unable to bar his children.

Archduke Franz, in contracting a morganatic marriage with the Countess Sophia Cliotek, renounced the right of his future children to succeed to the throne of Austria and Hungary. Bohemia has a Provincial Diet, competent to legislate in all matters not expressly reserved for .Reichsrath. Tliere is also a district representative body interposed between the communal- bodies and Provincial Diets.
