Alport reports > a brisk market sale on Saturday last, 40 pips sold at fair rate*, ranging irom 9d 6d to 36s each; 50 geese, 8s to 10s each; turkeys, 93 <}d to 17a each ; ducks, 6s to 7s. 6d per couple ; fowls, 5s 6tl to G^ 6d ditto; 1 guinea fowl, 6&; flour, 13s per.lGO lbs ; apples, Ohd to Gd per lb. On Monday, by instructions.of theSlierift'in >tiles:?/. Wallis —£4:wethers at station, -21s per.-head; 3. bulJocks, at L 4 10s, ho, and LlO, buyers "paying .{ill Charges ; after which were sold a quantity of butchers' tools, household furniture, &c.

Two building.plots on the Papanui-road, near the North town.belf,. part ot Town Reserve lot 26.. jet on lease for 21 years, at an average rental of 7s 6d per foot per annum.
