The following will we '^understand be the Time Table of the Mail steamera on the different lines of service for the ensuing year. Tliis time table will be adhered to except where Sundays interfere. t The Echunga, from London via Timaru, arrived-in Lyttelton- on-Saaday last. 'Arrived at Timaru on 'S morning, the 16fch inst, after a fair passage ot IU-2 days from Gravesend. " Lostsix days atstartmg, having to beat down Channel. Lett Start Point astern on- the-lObh September, and sighted Stewart's Island on the 12th December. On the 14th inst, encountered a-heavy gale from the north-west, and had to lay toTiiider close reefed topsails. The passengers speak in the highest terras of the kindness and attention experienced at the han^s both' of the captain and doctor. The Echungalanded about 130 of the immigrants at Timaru. Several of the others who were intended to-have been landed there declined to do so, as they did not consider themselves bound to land where no sufficient provision had been made for their reception.— Lyttelton Times, Dec 24. ■ \\ ■■ ■■ ■
