Theft.—John Bums "agentleman of colour" was accused of stealing a piece of wood from the rear of the Custom House. Prisoner said he had just landed and beinar cold he wanted to make a fire. He was sentenced to 14 d:iys imprisonment with hard labour. There was only one civil action called, 'and neither party appearing it was dismissed.
