Kent was called, but a constable reported him too drunk to be brought before the Court. ": ■■ i Indecency.—lohn fli'Leod was fined 205., or 48 hours imprisonment for this offence. Fighting.—Robert Muir and John M'Leod, were accused of creating a breach of the paaee by fighting in George-street on Wednesday. Muir w"h6 was on bail did not appear. A constable deposed to seeing the two fightintr. but M'Leod brought forward two witnesses who affirmed that he was attacked by Muir and had only acted in self defence. The case was dismissed. Theft.—John Bums "agentleman of colour" was accused of stealing a piece of wood from the rear of the Custom House. Prisoner said he had just landed and beinar cold he wanted to make a fire. He was sentenced to 14 d:iys imprisonment with hard labour. There was only one civil action called, 'and neither party appearing it was dismissed.
