Waste Land Board Office, Dunedin, 6t) December, 1862. • f^ROWN LANDS DEPASTURING LICENSES \J WITHIN HUNDREDS—The attention oi settlers within Hundreds is drawn to the 57th Clause of the Land Regulations, which provide that a depasturing license shall be granted to every ?ueh applicant who shall apply for the same to the Waste Land Board, on or before the Ist day of January in each year, provided that he shall have deposited with the said Board a return in the form of Schedule D, hereunto annexed, of the number of acres occupied by him aforesaid. All persons who neglect to take out such licenses before the Ist of January will be excluded from voting in the election of Wardens. Licenses ji&y be obtained for the Waihola Hundred by applying to J. Dewe, Esq., Tokomairiro; for the North and South Tokomairiro, upon application to Mr. W H. Three Scholarships will be offered for competition •ne Foundation Scholarship of the annuai value of £30, tenable for two years, to which all students at the College, wheresoever born or resident, who shal not have attained the age of eighteen at the above date, are admissible -, the Alfred Pell Scholarship, or the annual value of £20, tenable for two years' to which all boys under fifteen at the above date are admissible ; and one Foundation Scholarship of £10 for one year, to which studentß in the junior school only are admissible. The names of candidates, together with certificates of their age, must be sent in to the Principal at any time not later than the 22nd of September. Candidates must attend in person at the College, on Wednesday, the 24th of September, at 930, a.m., to be examined on that and the following days. Subjects op Examination.
