He was seen to be led away with a flax string, by a lad of 15 or 16 years of age, who was carrying a bundle of flax, and walking bare foot, with his boots hung over his shoulder, and who w;>s travelling in the direction of Tomaliav* k Valley, Portobelio, or the East Harbor. IT^he first Election of X^l Scholars will take place on Monday, the 29th September, in the present year. Three Scholarships will be offered for competition ; one Foundation Scholarship of the annual value of £30, tenable for two years, to which all students at the College, wheresoever born or resident, who shal not have attained the age of eighteen at the above date, are admissible j the Alfred Fell Scholarship, of the annual value of £20, tenable for two years, to which all boys under fifteen at the above date are admissible ; and one Foundation Scholarship of £10 for I one year, to which students in the junior school only i are admissible. The names of candidates, together with certificates of their age, must be sent in to the Principal at any time not later than the 22nd of September. Candidates must attend in person at the College, on Wed- , nesday, the 24th of September, at 9*30, a.m., to be [ examined on that and the following days.
