Fatal Accident.—A. little boy named Mace aged about seven years, was playing on the Govern-! ment Wharf fttLyttfeton, <a few days a S o, when he unfortunately lell oft the pier and was drowned His body was found floating in the water the day subsequent to the one on which the accident occurred — Standard, Dec. 11. The death of a waterman in Port Lyttleton took place this week under the following circumstances : -The unfortunate man, whose name was Tavlor" was conlined temporarily ie Lyttelton Gaol, as he' was suffering at the time from delirium mm tremorc ocensionsd by excessive drinking-.
