Wright, Robertson, and Co. report for the week ending Nr.v..29,18G2: — There ha* been a good supply of cattle to hand this week, winch met with a ready wile, at prices nearly ! equal lo last week's quotations. A very limited i supply of sheep has arrived in this market lately. Prices have decidedly an upward tendency, and holders are firm We quote Fat Bullocks, first quality, at from L 24 to L2B ; second quality, LlB to L2O ; Cows, first quality, LlB to L 22 ; second, Lli to LlB. Inferior only saleable at store prices, say, first quality beef fiora GOs, and second from st)d per hundred. We have sold at our yards a lot of fifty head, principally cows of medium quality, at LlB 10s per head : also a lot of sixty head, privately, mixed sexes, at an average of L 23 per head. Fat Calves meet with a ready sale, at from Li to L 6 per head, according'to quality and weight. .Store Cattlb.—Provim-M bred cattle,*good herds, aro worih from Lll to Ll3 per head : ship cattle fromLQtoLll. . Wokicing Bullocks and Dairy Cows.—"Working Bullocks broken to pack saddle are in demand at from LOO to L7O and upwards for yoke. We have sold this.week for yoke at LCS, and one yoke at L 72, broken in to pack. For Cows-good milkers, with or without calves at foot, are worth at from L2O and upwards. Fat Sheep.—Good wethers meet with a brisk sale, at fully last week's quotations, say shorn, at from 30s to 3is per head. We have sold a lot of one thousand, 4 and 6 tojth, guaranteed 50 lbs weight, delivery at the Wairaki, at 32s 6d per head. • Stokh Sheep.—There is a good demand for young acclimatized ewes, at prices varying from 23s to 31s per head. ...We sold this week one thousand ewes, full anil.broken mouthed, delivery at the north side of the Waitaki, at 21s per head. Station Property,—We hear of no transactions during the week. Houses.—Our recent arrivals are all cleared oft by the; importers, at very satisfactory prices; the-market from being only firm for the superior class of stock has taken a very upward tendency for horses of all descriptions, and a very brisk business has been done during the week. Owing to the very favorable accounts from our gold fluids, and the excitement prevailing on die Dunstan, we anticipate a still further rise in .ill kinds of hor.se stock.
