WELLINGTON.
Chamber op Commerce.—Afc a meeting of the Chamber yesterday, two letters Avere addressed by the Chairman to the Postmaster-General, calling his attention to the three last mails from Otago having been too late forthe homeward steamer, and requesting him to take such steps as he may deem necessary to prevent its recurrence for the future. There being no other business before the Chamber the meeting adjourned.—Advertiser, Nov. 18.
The Wairarapa.—The Acting Provincial Secretary, Mr Woodward, started on Thursday last, to visit the Wairarapa and some portions, of the East coast. He will probably be absent about ten days.— Independent, Nov. 18.
Wesleyan Annual Session. — The district meeting of Wesleyan ministers commenced on Wednesday last The Rev. Te Kote, ofthe Chatham Islands, and the Rev. Joseph Shaw are recommended for ordination. The appointment of four additional ministers is recommended to the Conference, and each circuit is represented as presenting an encouraging aspect.— Advertiser, Nov. 18.
