This horse was bred bjr Robert Gibson, Esq., of Cambok, Tasmania, and is one of the first get of that famous horse Matchless, who is allowed to be the best draught horse on the Launceston side of Tasmania, and was imported direct from England by Mr. John Dyer, in 1858. He carried off the first prizes at the Longford and Campbelltown Show 3. Young Matchless stands seventeen hands high, with immense bone and muscle, and is unsurpassed as a worker, being remarkably quiet and tractable, with first-rate pluck and action. Was gainer of the first prize for imported thoroughbre'i horses at Skipton this year. His stock are the finest carriage horses in Victoria. Pedigree : —Pendgragon by Post Tempore, by Stoekport: dam, Queen Bee by Rimplan, grand-dam by Volunteer. ROUGE DRAGON, By Pendragon, out of a very strong thoroughbred mare ; is also a very superior entire. The sale will be by Messrs DRIVER, MACLEAN and CO., at Auction, about 26th November.
