REQCJENT instances having occurred of Da sertiou from Her Majesty's Sea and Lan Forces in this Colony, Notiw is hereby given, that fcbe most rigorous procee-iiiifrs will be taken agaiuat any person enticing tway, harborin.c, concealing, or employing Deserters. And be it enacted, That every person who, b words or any other means whatsoever, shall persuade my person tv Her Majesty's Navy to desert, or imoroperly absent himself from his duty, shall forfeit uvi pay tlift sum of twenty pounds for every suck act; and every person whoslvdl assist or procure anj person m Her Majesty's Navy to desert, or improperly absent himself from his duty ; or shall conceal employ, or continue to employ any person belourin/r to Her Majesty's Navy, who shal) be a deserter, or improperly absent from his duty, knowing him to ba such a desertor; or so improperly absent, shall forfeit and pay the sum of thirty pounds for every such assistance, procurement, concealment, employment, or wntinuing of employment, as aforesaid."
