Tl»>re was also a ba*% but not one of the open and offensive kin-1. Hi^ Honor said that the police report was good, and the license was renewed.
B.Uh Hotel, Ucor.ge-street.-—Edward Chory,: This lic jiwts was renewed, Sub-Inspector Weldon Htating that the lic-ii^e was fcmnted aliout two 'months as;o, and the hon^e was a go«l one, although small.

United States Hotel, Wrdker-street.—Moses A. Lee : Mr. SVebloii opposed the renewal of thU license. The house had been very badly kept. Tiiere had been a gieat deal of drunkenness, and more titan once he had seen a drunken man violently thrown out of the place. The only favorable report was that for the last month. Mr. l>ick said he had seen, in passing, such things as mentioned by the officer. The application was refused. Aldinga Hotel, Walker-street.—Judali Solomon : Granted.
Wellington Hotel, Moray-place.—Richard Jenkins: Mr. Weldon said he must oppose the renewil of this license. The hou<-e had been very dirtily and badly kept. Mx*. Iloworth, who appealed for Jnikinn, wsui that the street opposite the.house had hitlierto generally been in so desperately bad a suite, that cleanliness was not possible, llis Honor thought that, considering the repeated b»>l reports of the polico, it was undesirable that this license should be renewed. Mr. Ho worth asked for an adjournment. Mr.'Weld(»n stated that one notice had been served for the place to be kept clean. Jtfailed, and notice was then given that the renewal would be opposed. Application dismissed.
Victorian Hotel, Octagon: P. A. Chevannes.—Granted. ■ Cafe rie Paris, Jetty-street: John Rinrdnn. In reply to a question, Mr. Weldon said he had reason to believe that the restriction that there should be no public Lar, and that simply fcuch wines and beers ns w re required by lodgers, should be sold, had been very fairly earned out. —Granted. Robertson's London Dining Rooms. His Honor asked whether this was not the house, on the old Manse site, with respect to which there was some conversation at tbeineeting of the Presbytery. Mr. Dick s-aid that it wns, hut Mr. Gillies seemed to have clearly explained the law of the matter to the Presbytery,—Mr. Reynolds did not believe that they could interfere. Tue Deputy -Superintendent, in granting the lease, took anil expressed the legal view of the matter. , _ , His.Honor, So it set ins to inc.
