A special meeting pf t the members of the ! Chamber of Commerce, convened by the' Chair^ man, in compliance with a requisition, was "held at the Athcnsßum yesterday afternoon, for the purpose of revising the Rules./' " Mr. James Rattray /(Chainnan), presided ; aud there were also present.—-Messrs-George McLean, A. '.-' ,: i--; ;yy3 : :- -y/J.-iy- ■ :The following were^ amongst the alterations made:—The words " carrying on business, and >f: wers struck out of Rule 3, which now. stands, "All persons residing in this -Province shall be eligible to become members of-the Chamber, -as hereinafter provided.*? ■'~.- - i Rul« 8 and 9 were struck out^and tne'following substituted*:—** At tbe general meeting' in September of each year, a Chainfcan and Deputy Chairman, and a Committee of six members shall be elected by ballot. The Chairman and Deputy Chairman shall be ex-officio members of the Committee, four of whom shall torm a quorum.
