I 3.— Registration Fees. The scale of fees payable in respect of the >cvfr.i refristrati'ns mentioneJ in these regulations skill be as follows :— For registering any claim other than, araa'jrnmated claims and creek or river claims (without riyaivl to the uumber of persons holding the same) —one shilling. For resristering an a;r>alcramated claim, or a creek or liver claim—two shillings and sixpence. For registering a wnter rr.ee, puddling machine, or dam —two sLillings and sixpence. For regiifc-riug a protected claim—one shilii::^ ?n\ sixpence. For registering wiy transfer or assignment—one shilling and sixpence. For registering a mining partnership—two shilL'na: and sixpence. The above fres shall include payment for copies of the notice requir.-d in each case^ but not for any survey. 4.— lnformation to the Public. Any person requiring any information from the Transaction Book of the Mining Re^trnr, may obtain the same on payment of one shilling: and it sliali be the duty of the Mining Registrar to furnish such information.
X. Licenses. I.— Business Licenses. Every person engage iii trade or business ofar.v kind within the limits of the gold field, shall obtain from the Wardfiu a Business License, for which he shall pay the sum of twenty-five shillings (zl'k.) quarterly, and shall be entitled to occupy an a'lo'nientof land not exceeding a fi-outace ot""20 fret by 40 feet. 2. — Wholesale Licenses. Every holder of a Wholesale License for the sale of fermented and spirituous liquors,in quantities m,-t Ir-j-s than two gallons, (shall pay a fee for the same t.i Twenty (£2O) Pounds. 3.— Retail Lkenses. Every holder of a Retail Licence for tha sale of f- ;•- mented and spirituous liquors in any quantity >!tuil pay a fee for the same of 6ixty (£6O) rounds. * Thj holders of Business or Liquor Licenses shnl!, it so required by the Warden, be sworn in as special con cables. 4. — Licenses may le cancelled. In all cases wherein forfeiture is decreed by these Regulations, it shall be lawful for the WarJ- n hi substitute a monetary penalty in lies thereof, an>i tj allow thereout a suiScient sum to defray any rea«<n<able expenses incurred by the plaintitf in the prusjcution of iiis suit. s.— Compensation may be Adjudged. All notices tendered or posted in conformity with these Undulations must contain the name in "full of each member of the party, totrethpr with the date, number, and place of issue of Ids Miners Right. B.— Warden to be Judge of Objections, A-c. The Warden shall in all cases be the sole jud^e of the validity of objections to the issue of any Certificate of Registration, and also of what is a " reasonable time" fur the penbrinance of any work when no fixed period is provided by these Regulations. 9. — Certificate may be cancelled. If sny Certificate shrill have been obtained by misrepresentation, or if any of the conditions prescribed herein have not been duly complied with, tha Warden may, upon proof thereof, cancel such Certificate, or make such other order therein as may appear to be just. 10. — Neglect of Warden's Orders. Any person who shall neglect or refuse to comply with any written notice or order of the Warden, duly served, and in conformity with these Regulations, shall be deemed to be jjuilty of a breach thereof and liable to the penalty imposed by the 32nd section of tho " Gold Fields Act, 1858.""
