We have again to remind our advertisers that our terms are cash on receipt of advertisements, or where accounts are opened, cash at the close of the month—no longer credit will in any case be given—and we must respectfully inform subscribers that they put us to great inconvenience by making our collecter call day after day, on the excuse that they have not examined into their accounts. The Proprietors of the Dailt Times will present a Silver Cup, worth at least .£SO, to the. author of the test Pamphlet on the .desirability of the Separation of the Middle Island from tlie Northern Island of New j Zealand. . I The time for receiving |'the Pamphlets, and other details, will be announced in a few days. SEPARATION MOVEMENT. THE Separation Committee having decided to appoint a paid Secretary to aid the purpose of the movement, written applications addressed to the Chairman, Separation Committee, will be received up to the 21st June inclusive, from gentlemen willing to undertake the office. The rate of salary will be £400 per annum ; applications to be endorsed " Application.for Secretaryship." . Applicants should state the qualifications they posess foi" the. office, whicli embraces somewhat more 'han the ordinary duties of a Secretary, as auy one who has been concerned in a political agitation of the t.nd will be aware.
