Business Notice. rpHK readers of the Daily Times will recollect x a paiagmph, which appeared some time ago; in that paper, relative to a very large .quantity of rubbish, designated "prepared meal," which had been imported into this market by some unprincipled firm, for the purpcße of being mixed and sold to the public as Coffee. . Tlie public, however, have the remedy against being Mm"! impose 1 upon in their own hands, and it may be useful for them to know that- it is impossible for Storekeepeis to supply them with genuine coffee at ptices lower than from; Is, 9<l. to 2s. per lb. All coffee therefore retailed below thoseprices, should be looked upon with suspicion. '~'.■'■■■' • Another criterion, which should not be over-looked, is that the spurious ar1 icle si'ldom bears the name of tin* vendor, and is never guaranteed. The reasons for this of course nre obvious. Barren and Campbpll's Coffee is now imive'-saUy acknowledged to be the finest cuffee in this market, and is likewise the only coffee which is properly guaranteed, although storekeepers often substitute • inferior kinds when this coffee is asked for,*on account of the laiger profit •"thay have oil the spurious article. .
