Sin, —How is it that the list of unclaimed letters at the Dunediu Post-office is not published in the Daily Times ? If it is necessary, on the part of the Post-office that notice should be given ot such unclaimed letters, it is only fair to the public that the utmost publicity should'bo1 given to it, by means o the local newspapers, pavtieulariy|those of the largest circulation. I happened accidentally to get hold of a stray copy of the Colonist today, and foimd to uly surprise my name amongst the list of unclaimed letters. "Now, as
I urn not by any means a "■ constant reader" of the Colonist, I ask is it fair to anxious, and—perhaps from carelessness at the Dunediu Post-office—disap-pointed expectants of letters, that the list of unclaimed letters should not be published in the paper which is most generally seen. But for my chance glimpse at the Colonist, the last letter from my friends, which was to me of the highest importance, might have remained unowned in the pigeon hole of th(T Kunedin Post-office. —lam, Sir, yoiir obedient servant,
