Bbtwebx Hiqh-btreet and Rattray-streM!. nnHE readers of the Daily Times will recollectJL a paragraph, which appeared some time ago in that paper, relative to a very large quantity of rubbish, designated " prepared meal," which had been imported into this market by some unprincipled firm, for the purpose of being mixed and sold to the public as Coffee. The public, however, have the remedy against being thus imposed upon in their own hands, and it may be useful for them to know that it is impossible for Storekeepers to supply them with genuine coffee at prices lower than from Is. 9d. to 2s. per lb. All coffee therefore retailed, below those prices, should be looked upon with suspicion. Another criterion, which should not be over-looked, is that the spurious article seldom bears the name of the vendor, and is never guaranteed. The reasons for this of course are obvious. Barron and Campbell's Coffee is now universally acknowledged to be the finest coffee in this market, and is likewise the only coffee which is properly guaranteed, although storekeepers often substitute.inferior kinds when, this coffee is asked for, on account of the larger profit they have on the spurious The public should, therefore, be particular that they get Barron and Campbell's coffee when they ask for it, and observe that each package bears their name and well-known label. To retain the confidence of the public m their cotfee, Barron and Campbell offer the sum of £100 ■ To any one who will dispro%Te their assertion that '•all coffee prepared and sold by them, arid bearing their signature, contains nothing-but a mixture of pure coffee and chicory, or pure coiiee, as the case may be." ->"r-'-This coffee may be had of all storekeepers in town and country, and (wholesale only) from BARRON & CAMPBELL, Wholesale Tea and Coffee Merchants, Rattray-street, .
