Notice to Commanders and Pilots of Vessels.— Notice is hereby given that'on'and after the Ist of May, 1862/ the following signals will be made at high and low-water in .connection with the tidal signals now exhibited from the Flagstaff at the Semaphore Station, Lefevre's Peninsula :—High water : A square red flag under the outer ball at either yardarm. When, as in the case of the 20 feet signal, balls are exhibited at both yardanns, the red flag (high water signal) will be hoisted ■at tho masthead. Lowwater : A square blue flag under the outer ball at either yardarm. The above .signals will be kept flying from' the time the tidal wave appears stationary until the signal next after high or low water has been ma &e.—B.
