[JS The Aldinga was expected to sail to-da3', but in the afternoon the blue. peter was drawn down, and it is understood that her "departure has been delayed unti to-morrow (Tuesday) afternoon. ; The Mountain Wave, which arrived to-day is without cargo or stock, having been, as previously reported,' into Bluff Harbor, where her stock were discharged.

The Clutha, from Auckland, with a cargo and a number of passengers, passed up to town, without stopping at the Port, having both tide and wind with her at the time. '

The Eureka, from Melbourne, reported yesterday as at the Heads, lay there up till 4 p.m., to-day, when she made sail, and is now making up the Channel before a stiff breeze from the sea. The breeze has been all day favorable to her coming up, but, with the tide flowing1, it is difficult for a vessel to swing head up, and she has consequently been delayed until the tide commenced to ebb. She has a considerable number of passengers on board, the majority of whom are women and children. '

The mail brought by the Omeo, consisted, besides bags and parcels, of 27 boxes, 25 of which were for Otago, four of that number containing Victorian letters. For Lyttelton there were 23 boxes ; for Nelson, 15; for Napier, 6; and for Wellington, 21'; all of which were taken on by the Airedale. .In addition to this there was the Invercargill portion of the mail transferred to the Guiding Star. i
