THE NEW RATES OF POSTAGE.

■ AYe publish for general information, the New Rates of Postage in force from and after April 1, 1862 : — NEW ZEALAND. HATES OF POSTAGE CHARGEABLE ON LETTERS, NEWSPAPERS, AND BOOKPACKETS POSTED IN THE COLONY. LETTERS. 1. —Inland Letters. ,Not exceeding h cz... ... •• .' ... 2d. Exceeding A oz7, and not exceeding 1 oz. ...' 4d. ~ 1 oz., "„■ ■ „ 2 oz. ... Bd. And so on, increasing fourpence for every additional ounce or fraction of an ounce. 2. —To the United Kingdom.
