The situation of the Property the Auctioneer can state from actual observation is not be surpassed, and is a far better site than the N. E. Valley, and also nearer the heart of the City. The ground is a beautiful level, but in every part quite high and dry. When the inhabitants come to consider that land is the Valley is leasing at from 20.3. to 30s. per foot per annum, and that an opportunity is now offered to get an actual freehold, with immediate possession, at a far less sum than is required for a lease in one year, it must be patent that a great desideratum is offered.. Part of the land adjoins the Ocean Beach, and there is an abundance of sand to be procured for making the streets. There can be no question that for all purposes of pleasure, enjoyment, and natural amusement, all the Citizens must seek the direction of the Ocean Beach, upon which St. KjUda stands. sth. Abundance of finest water can be obtained in any part of the ground by sinking 10 feet. 6th.
