A Lyons newspaper says that a machine has just '? r nrn [ rom A"lerica > vvilitil is capable of printing 4,000_ photograph proofs in an hour from the same negative. _ The paper used is said to be prepared wi„h gelatine, and impregnated with iodine of silver mixed wn,h other substances, which endow it with extraordinary, sensibility. It is then rolled on a cjimder and unrolled, when on the machine, by clockwork, so that each portion remains about a second opposite the negative, which, during the movement of the paper, is covered by a lid worked by the same machinery The sun's rays are brought to bear upon ihe omirifd in a concentrated foinl by means of » powerful 16ns. The result is sald't'o bethat'phot^ graphs, which, by tbe ordinary process,' cost at least, v. 6Ue. each, can be produced at the rate of a sou each.
