The value of the Exports from Dunedin in the month of January, exclusive of GoUl, ainoimted only to £-102, the exports being principally British goods re-shipped. During the present month the first wool ship of the season sailed for England and the estimated value of the exports amounted to £70,036. The duty paid on Gold entered for exportation at the Custom House on Monday, the 25th. amounted to ,£4024 "19s. 4d., and yesterday to £63 ISs. 2d. The steamer Aldinga when leaving the Port on Monday evening, dropped anchor close to Taylor's Point, in consequence of the weather being thick. Her keel took the ground and she was detained untii the morning's tide when she got safely off. She proceeded to sea at 11 a.m., yesterday, and was seen in the eoiiri-e of the afternoon steaming past the Ocean Beach at full, speed, and with the wind well in her favor. BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.
