The' Aldinga, which arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday at 2 a.m., was delayed at Melbourne from Saturday till Monday, in expectation of being able to bring with her tlic "English Mails, but up tillj "> p.m. on llonday, no telegram was received from Adelaide, nor was any-intslligence of the mail received at tlie time she passed Port Phillip heads. Capt. Maclean reports having experienced light breezes all the pnssagci until the morning of tho 22nd,-when a furious gale from the W. N, W. caught him west of the Solander. The passage occupied live day;-; and six hours.
