One of the party came in to-day to Major Croker, to make application for ah extended claim. This was done in consequence of their finding themselves surrounded on all sides by the now arrivals. It is rumored that the prospectors have b.-un obtaining very heavy gold. They had in their possession a considerable quantity of rough gold.incliiding v nugget over '3 ozs. As au instance of the richness of our goldfields, I may mention that a party of four Scotchman divided UOO'oz*., as the proceeds from one claim on Wetherstone's.
